Slovenian Ambassador attended the National Dedication and Civic Memorial Service

 22 February, Christchurch New Zealand - Canterbury Earthquake National Memorial

Slovenian Ambassador, Ms Helena Drnovšek Zorko, attended the National Dedication and Civic Memorial Service that marked the sixth anniversary of the Canterbury Earthquake.

A ceremony commencing with the dedication and unveiling of the National Memorial and Civic Memorial Service was held to coincide with the time of the earthquake.

The names of those who lost their lives in the earthquake are inscribed on the Christchurch earthquake memorial, designed by Slovenian Architect Grega Vezjak.

The event was attended by Her Excellency The Right Honourable Dame Patsy Reddy GNZM, QSO Governor-General of New Zealand, the Prime Minister of New Zealand Rt Hon Bill English, Diplomatic Corps, Delegation from Australia and Japan.
